Product
Everything you need to know about our bamix® products.
What should I do if the attachment won’t come off?
This usually happens when sticky foods such as egg, sugar, or honey have been processed. Place the appliance with the attachment fitted in warm soapy water briefly to loosen the residue. The housing may get wet, but the cord outlet and control buttons must remain dry.
Clean the lower part of the appliance under running water after each use.
Important: Always unplug the appliance first before removing the attachment!
What should I do if the attachment no longer fits properly?
Take a pair of pliers and gently press the spring blade of the attachment slightly inward (always press together above the axle). Be careful not to press too hard—otherwise, you won’t be able to put the attachment back on!
What should you do if your bamix® no longer runs at full power, makes unusual noises, or has a jammed drive shaft?
This is often caused by dried-on food residue in the blade or protective guard. Place the drive shaft in hot water with a little dish soap for a few minutes – this usually loosens the residue. Then run the bamix® in the water for a few seconds.
Be sure to unplug it from the mains afterwards! Then put 2–3 drops of cooking oil (not olive oil) on the drive shaft and run the appliance for approx. 2 minutes. Then clean the drive shaft thoroughly again in hot water.
How can you keep your bamix® in good shape for longer?
Your bamix® will stay in good working order for longer if you oil it every few months. Use regular cooking oil (not olive oil). Hold the appliance so that the blade attachment with its four feet points upward, and apply a few drops of oil to the drive shaft. Switch on the bamix® for about 2 minutes. Then clean the drive shaft in hot water.
What should I do if the attachment won’t come off?
You can carefully try to loosen the attachment using a wide screwdriver. It’s best to soak the attachment in hot water with a little dish soap for a few minutes beforehand, then briefly run the bamix® in the water.
Important: Always unplug the appliance first before removing the attachment!
What should I do if the multi-tool falls off?
Over time, it may happen that the openings of the attachment widen slightly due to frequent use. In this case, you can carefully squeeze the opening together slightly with pliers so that the multi-blade fits onto the drive shaft as usual.
What is the multi-tool for?
You can use it to chop and purée raw and cooked vegetables, fruit, berries, baby food, cooked meat, frozen fruit for sorbet, jam, and even ice cubes. It is also suitable for blending soups and sauces as well as mixing cake and crêpe batter. In short: for everything that is difficult to process.
What is the impact disc for?
Use the whisking disc to whip, loosen and emulsify egg whites and cream (always on setting 1). It is also suitable for frothing soups and sauces if you want a foamy consistency. In short: for anything that needs to be light and airy.
What is the whisk for?
The stirring disc stirs and mixes shakes, drinks, purées, mashed potatoes, salad dressings, mayonnaise, and frappés. It is ideal for anything that is creamy or viscous; the stirring disc acts as an emulsifier.
What is the meat and vegetable knife used for?
Use this to cut, chop, and mince meat or fish (cooked and raw) as well as hard, fibrous vegetables. Use it only for meat without bones or tendons. Cut meat, fish, or vegetables into approx. 1 cm cubes beforehand and place them in a container. Maximum quantity: 500 g.
What should I do if the drive shaft stops rotating?
If your bamix® has not been used for a long time, it is possible that tiny, barely visible food residues have hardened and are blocking the shaft. Place the working area of the appliance in hot water for 5–10 minutes. Then switch the bamix® on – it will usually run again after that.
If not, simply repeat the process. Then apply 2–3 drops of cooking oil (not olive oil) to the drive shaft and let the appliance run for about 2 minutes.
We are here for you.
